Serving the island for over 48 years
Sarnian Roofing was established back in 1977 by Winkle De La Mare and John Freestone and it quickly became one of the largest roofing companies in the Channel Islands.
In 1992, it was bought by Andy and Gary Gavey who took over the leadership with the aim of growing the company and raising it to the next level.
Sarnian established itself as a trailblazer in the roofing industry, when in 1997 it became the first company within the Channel Islands to introduce ‘Alkor Single ply roofing’ as an alternative to the Bitumen pour and roll system, which was the only product on the market and carried with it significant fire risk.
Sarnian has since introduced additional roofing alternatives to the market including PolyroofProtec, a liquid roofing product that also requires no naked flame during installation, and Zinc and Copper roofing, for which they are now the leading company in the Channel Islands.
